How do you fancy travelling around Australia with your mate, all expenses paid for and being made into TV stars whilst you’re at it?

Does that sound good? Well this extraordinary trip of a lifetime could all be yours – Tourism Western Australia is looking for two Brits with a sense of fun and adventure to star in a nine-week televised journey called the Extraordinary Taxi Ride.

It all stems from when Australian taxi driver Charlie Heard, back in 1930, took an elderly lady and her two friends on an epic journey from Melbourne to Darwin and back again. At the time the fare came to a handsome £300, around $19,000 today!

The journey is broken up into 11 different legs, with a different couple on each leg of the tour. The journey will be filmed and used as part of a documentary as well as for promoting the many wonders of Western Australia – what better memento could you ask for of your holiday than of a film for you to keep forever? Plus the knowledge that your journey could well inspire others to try something different for their holidays!

You’ll get to choose which leg of the journey you’d like to take as the whole hog is broken up into eleven travel itineries taking place between April and June. You can choose from Coast and Nature Spectacular to a Ningaloo Reef Adventure. Whatever you choose, the television will capture your unique adventure as well as chronicling your blogs and stories which will be available online for the whole world to see!

All you have to do to be in with a chance to win this spectacular prize is to explain in 40 words or less why you should be part of the journey.
