Victoria
Located in the south east of Australia, the state of Victoria is one of the country’s smallest states. Neighbour to New South Wales, Victoria is a region of historic towns, fabulous food and breathtaking landscapes - not to mention the divine vineyards and 650 wineries of the Mornington Peninsula and the Pyrenees.
One of Australia’s most famous routes, the Great Ocean Road, is found here. Follow the route along Victoria’s western coast and you’ll discover stunning ocean views, coastal towns and villages and some expansive beaches to explore. It’s here that you’ll see the iconic Twelve Apostles rock formations - well, now only eleven, as one has succumbed to the force of the ocean waves.

One of Victoria’s most famous sites is the Goldfields, home to the quaint towns that were at the centre of the region’s Gold Rush during the 19th century. Although small, Victoria is perfectly formed, with a wide array of regions and attractions, all easily reached from the capital of Melbourne. Visit the Victoria tourist information site for a virtual tour of the area and lots of holiday ideas of what to do and where to go.
