
The Prodigy are set to tour Australia.
Prodigy and a whole host of other top name bands and artists will be headlining this year’s Future Music Festival in Australia.
The Festival tours Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and kicks off in Brisbane on the 27th of February. It promises to be one of Australia’s biggest music festivals this year, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans.
Along with Prodigy the line-up also includes Franz Ferdinand, Empire of the Sun, David Guetta, The Cribs, Above and Beyond and many more, the organisers are claiming that this year will see the event’s “biggest and best year to date.”
Empire of the Sun were more than complimentary to their audience: “It means a great deal to be able to play on such a grandeur future production with such imaginative artists to the wonderful Australian people – we are ecstatic.”
It will be Glaswegian’s Franz Ferdinand’s first tour since 2007 and they will be hoping for a warm reception for their new material which is an eclectic mix of dance and indie. Their Australian tours will surely be a must-see for many fans and followers of this UK talent.
Australian talent will also be present in the form of Red Riders, a Sydney based band who already have a highly acclaimed album in the form of Replica Replica. They’ll be performing their second and highly awaited album at the event.
The Prodigy will be in Australia from the 27th of February to headline the Future Music Festival at the City Pacific Doomben Racecourse in Brisbane. They’ll then tour with the Festival playing at Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally the Entertainment Centre in Newcastle Australia on the 10th of March.
