Deciding whether or not to emigrate to Australia is likely to be ranked as one of the biggest decisions of your life. There is only so much research you can do in the UK. Yes you can find out which Australian visa you need to apply for, you can look for jobs in Australia, research the Australian property market, but none of these things will tell you what it is like to experience life in Australia.

That’s why it’s important to speak to other people who have taken the plunge before you. These people have been there, done that, worn the t-shirt and their experiences can often help you as you try to prepare yourselves for life in Australia.

We will be trying, over the next few months, to add other real life stories to this page, in the meantime feel free to browse through the stories we have. Not everyone’s Australian dream has worked out and we felt that it was important to include these tales as well as positive tales on this page.
