If you’re looking to visit Australia, whether to go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef on your holiday, to work whilst backpacking during your Gap Year or perhaps even to immigrate to Australia in search of a better life, you’ll need a visa. The only people who don’t need visas are New Zealanders.

There are a number of different visa options and you should find them all listed in the menus above. We’ll give you a brief guide to each, but please do note that our guide does only give the briefest of information, if you need more detailed information then we do recommend that you seek expert advice from one of the many specialist companies that deal in visa applications.

But don’t be put off by the huge amount of information with each visa, applying doesn’t need to be complex and stressful, in fact it’s pretty straightforward and as I’ve recently discovered, opening a UK bank account as a British citizen is often more complicated than applying for a visa! And in order to visit one of the most untouched, diverse and stunningly beautiful countries on the planet, isn’t it all worth it?
