Tourism Australia is giving two lucky British or Irish 18 to 30 year olds the chance to live the Aussie lifestyle with the launch of a new working holiday competition on social networking sites MySpace and Bebo.
One person from the MySpace community and one person from Bebo will win the working holiday of their dreams to Australia. The prize includes return flights to Australia from London and the choice of one of six, month-long paid placements around the country.

Always fancied a working holiday Down Under? Now might be your chance!
The winners can take their pick of the following backpacker jobs, in some of Australia’s most stunning locations:
- Becoming an event organiser ‘to the stars’ at Sydney Observatory;
- Serving fine food and wine while the sun sets at Ayers Rock Resort;
- Making the ocean your ‘office’ and dolphins your ‘colleagues’ by becoming a dive guide near Perth;
- Exploring the magical Whitsunday Islands as part of a Tall Ship crew;
- Joining the team at the award-winning Prairie Hotel in the South Australia outback;
- Working at a hip hostel in one of Melbourne’s trendiest beachside suburbs.
To enter the competition applicants must indicate which job they’d like and why they have chosen it. The competition is open to residents in the UK and Ireland.
