Relocate Down Under.
Australia is set to receive a flurry of UK visa applications as the popular Channel Four show Relocation, Relocation heads Down Under.
Phil Spencer goes solo as heads to Oz to report on why so many of us Brits are swapping the bleak skies and cold winds for the sunshine and warmth of the Australian coast.
Each week Phil will be helping a lucky couple to find their ideal home in Australia. And for those of us who will be sat there with green faces, he’ll be offering tips and advice on moving to Australia and finding employment.
Last night saw Phil in Perth trying to find a suitable home for Lee and Bronagh and their three daughters from Essex. After viewing the usual succession of houses that just didn’t hit the spot for them, they eventually went for a beautiful house just a four minute walk away from the beach with spectacular ocean views – all for the price of a London flat!
Phil will visit three more cities in the next three weeks to help yet more British families to leave behind the rat race and head off for the laid-back Aussie lifestyle. Oh wouldn’t that we all had Phil Spencer on hand to guide us through the technicalities of the property market?
If last night’s programme whetted your appetite for a new start in sunnier climes, you can get expert advice and help by attending Next Step’s Australia Event in Leeds this coming Sunday. On hand will be all kinds of experts ready to give you personal face-to face advice on getting a job, obtaining a visa, banking, removals and so on.
Whether you have your suitcases packed ready to go or are just exploring your pipe dream, you will come away from this event with new knowledge and a greater confidence in taking that next step to your dream life.
The event is free and is held at the Queens Hotel, City Square in Leeds. Doors open at 10am and close at 3pm, but Next Step recommend that you book your free ticket soon as demand is predicted to be high due to renewed interest in Australia as the number one destination for Brits emigrating abroad.
