Ronan Keating is just one of many stars heading to Australia in 2010.

Australia will be rolling out the red carpet in 2010 as a host of stars plan to tour down under, making Australia a hot destination for the coming year!

Ronan Keating, everyone’s favourite Boyzone star, is planning to headline at the McLaren Vale Festival at Leconfield Winery on the Fleureiu Peninsula. The ‘A Day on the Green’ concert will take place in wineries throughout Australia starting on 30 January 2010 when Ronan Keating kicks it all off in style. Other acts include Paul Kelly, Rufus Wainwright, Diana Krall, Katie Noonan & The Captains and Madeleine Peyroux.

Wales’ finest, Mr Tom Jones, is also performing at A Day on the Green. The Welsh crooner will be working his charm on audiences in Annie’s Lane in South Australia’s Clare Valley on March 6th as well as other winery locations to be announced.

These concerts combine all of my favourite things, good wine, superb food, spectacular locations and the very best in musical entertainment. What could be better? Visit their A Day on the Green to find out more and catch your favourite star!

John McEnroe is most definitely in as he tops the player list for the Adelaide Tennis Challenge. McEnroe will be joined by some of the finest world tennis stars and legends for the World Tennis Challenge on the 12 – 14 January.

WOMADelaide will be repeating its annual success by turning the Botanic Park into a carnival of music and entertainment. Ravi Shankar is one of the many stars who will be turning up for this huge event that sees over 500 musicians, dancers, street performers and visual artists taking part from 27 countries around the world. Make sure you book your place!

Cycling fans hold onto your mud flaps – for Lance Armstrong is coming to town! He’ll be competing in the Santos Tour Down Under from the 17 – 24 January. His new team, RadioShack will be competing for the first time together – ever! So don’t miss your chance to catch a glimpse of one of cycling’s heros as he speeds past!

If food is your thing, then you will love this next event! Tasting Australia will be inviting top chefs Anthony Worrall Thompson and Antonio Carluccio as well as Men Behaving Badly star and Bob the Builder himself, Neil Morrissey. There’ll be celebrity lunches, demonstrations and discussions where you get to grill your favourite star. Not forgetting of course all that lovely food, wine and beer. The event is on from 29th April to 6 May, have a look at Tasting Australia for more information.

So banish those post-Christmas blues and book yourself a holiday in the sun to the place where all the stars are heading in 2010. Go on, bring a little warmth into your life by swapping the UK winter for the Australian summer!

Now, where did I put those turkey leftovers?
