Most of all has been unethical and unfair, not only with visa applicants but with there own leader Krudd. I would love to see it going out and always stay in opposition. Howard government had better Immigration policies. They always had some transit time for those who applied or were in processing and was thoughtful. Every minister should give IQ test before taking any ministry. It would help all Australains and new immigrants with not having to put up with bad strategies of incompetent minister in the high level ministry. I've recieved the Refund form from DIAC and my application being ceased and capped in the pre september application category subclass BN 136. I gave up my career, sold my house and moved everything to AU. DIAC cannot cease application that they are holding back, the application was made with fully eligibility at time of application. The dept had a sudden decision to hold back application for over 2yrs and now passing such Law is totally unjust, We are made to wait for 2 yrs being our application can be finalised but it is unacceptable to ask people to leave within 28 days. I have my family with me , how can I start my life/career with over 3-4 yrs gap out of my country. Not to mention how can my 10yrs old daughter cope with 4yrs gap of education system. I believe the time frame on or before 2011 reply is more accurate. The problem really here is the directive not to refund even if you opted to get out of the waiting list. I thought Australia practices the so-called "fair go". You don't change the rules in the middle of the game. That is completely unfair.
