How would you like to win a holiday for four in Western Australia?  You would?  Well then you’d better read on!

Tourism Western Australia have launched a campaign that aims to get more people visiting this stunning part of Australia. Teaming up with Whingeing Pom, the expat magazine, it includes a series of features, tips, holiday ideas, travel itineraries and stories all written by expats about Western Australia.

The campaign also wants to highlight the number of great holiday deals to be had on the market right now, not to mention the chance of bagging your very own free holiday!

A recently survey suggested that almost 10% of the population of Western Australia was born in the UK and nearly half of all UK visitors to the state were there to visit friends and family.

In order to reflect this, Tourism Western Australia want to hear from Brits who have friends or family living over there. If that includes you, then to be in with a chance to win this fabulous holiday for four all you have to do is describe in 35 words or less which friends or ‘rellies’ you would like to visit and what experience you would like to share with them in Western Australia.

Should you be the lucky winner, you’ll be treated to the holiday of a lifetime! You and three friends or relatives will be flown out to Perth where you’ll be put up in style. You’ll travel around Australia, with car hire thrown in, to go wildlife watching in Rockingham and the Ningaloo Reef and experience truly amazing outback adventures in the Kimberley. As well as visiting those friends or family members of course! The prize is valued at more than A$20,000, so get writing now!

Competition judges will be looking for entries that stand out from the rest, that highlight the very best of Western Australia and that, most importantly, makes them laugh!

The campaign hopes to highlight the tourism potential of Western Australia and reflect the readiness at which expats have embraced this part of Australia and made it their home.

Tourism Western Australia’s marketing manager Christie Lord says: “We know there’s an enormous sense of local pride in WA – 96 per cent surveyed said there were many local holiday destinations they would be proud to recommend,â€?

“We want to harness this local pride amongst the expat community and encourage them to show off their new home to their friends and family. They might even discover something new themselves in the process.

If you want to enter this fantastic competition then you’ll need to visit Tourism Western Australia. Whilst you’re there, why not check out all the holiday deals advertised on their home page? After all, picking up a bargain can often leave you feeling like a winner too!

Check out the Whingeing Pom magazine too!
