9 out of 10 Brits say they have benefited greatly from moving to Australia
A new survey from bank NatWest has revealed that 91% of UK citizens who move to Australia say their quality of life is better in Oz.
British expats listed factors such as health and the cost of living as the main reasons to relocate and work in Australia. In addition, 90% claim they are better off financially.
Findings also showed that 53% of expats on Australia visas moved to Oz on their own initiative, while the remainder moved because of work commitments.
Whatever the reason for the move, it is clear that Brits do not regret their decision, benefiting greatly from cheaper living costs and better weather.
In addition to the sunshine and the cheaper lifestyle, property investment opportunities are encouraging Brits to make the move, particularly in regions such as New South Wales.
Buying a house in Australia has recently become even more affordable after stamp duty was halved by the government, saving the average buyer £5,500 on the price of a property.
Australia was polled in third place worldwide in the survey carried out by NatWest, which rated countries by looking at factors such as health and financial benefits.
